Mumbai via Helsinki

Originally I had been wondering if it was really worth taking an indirect flight to save about £80 but Jon is now being highly praised and rewarded for the best idea ever... We arrived 3.30pm Helsinki time and had 4.5 hours to kill before the flight to Mumbai. So 30 minutes 3, 80euros later we were stood in Helsinki city centre 20°c blue skies and beautiful surroundings. With only 1.5hours we set off for the park (Kaisaniemen puisto) and sat by the bay (Pitkasilla?) to eat and take a breather. We then tackled the town hall (see photo) and attached square via part of the botanical gardens attached to the natural history museum of Finland. Finally we caught the view across the south harbour of Myymaki church and strolled along Esplanadinp to the bus. There was some crazy dude preparing to do some sort of performance that involved lengths of rope 5 balls and other weird props which completely captivated Jon but luckily-I mean unfortunately we had to catch the 6pm bus to the airport and the dude's act will forever be a mystery!
